1.0 FTE Secondary Social Studies Teacher

Job Description: The Secondary Social Studies Teacher will teach two or more classes ranging from 6-12th grade. The teacher will be responsible for delivering instruction, building curriculum, attending school events, as well as participating in peer-observation cycles and other duties as assigned.

 This is a home-based teaching position

Requirements

  • Masters Degree
  • Current Oregon Teaching License with proper endorsements
  • Proficient in a variety of tech platforms and software, including MS Excel, Word, and G Suite
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Flexible schedule

The ideal candidate will also have

  • The ability to collaborate with students, parents, and coworkers
  • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
  • An ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools)
  • An ability to support and guide adults as well as students
