Dr. Jessie teaches middle school science at FCA. Prior to three years of working with high school students, she was a college instructor of math and science. Originally from Massachusetts but with stints in Arizona, Nebraska and California, she loves living in Coos Bay now with her wife and two cats. Aside from teaching, she thoroughly enjoys camping, kayaking, and eating free foods from nature.
Mrs. Conway is originally from Massachusetts and has been teaching for over ten years. She loves working with Special Education students here at FCA. She lives in Prineville with her husband, daughter and dog. When she isn't reading or cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen, you'll find Mrs. C hiking, camping and exploring the Cascade and Ochoco Mountains with her family.
Mr. DeBenedetti teaches science at FCA. He is a native Oregonian and studied Microbiology and Science Education at Portland State University. He lives in Gladstone with his wife, dog Olive, and two cats.
Andrew Senkowski has spent most of his teaching career at virtual schools here in Oregon and also in Pennsylvania. While Math is his subject, he still loves his humanities/arts (reading, writing, music, and film) and sciences. You may find him out exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and dogs.
Mrs. White lives in Corvallis, Oregon and teaches 9th grade Language Arts and Special Education. In her 10 years of teaching, she's taught reading intervention, social studies, and language arts in various grade levels. She loves running, cooking, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with her three kids.
Mrs. Pierce has a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Science with minors in English and Psychology and teaches fourth and fifth grade this year at FCA. She lives in Douglas County with her spouse and her large mastiff dog. She taught both upper and lower elementary and has worked at a not-for-profit hospice for six years where she was a recipient of the Award of Excellence from the Oregon Hospice Association. Mrs. Pierce is knowledgeable in social-emotional learning needs, family resources, and brain-based research for teaching and learning. Mrs. Pierce studied abroad in Florence, Italy, likes learning new languages and connecting her students to other children across the world as pen-pals! She enjoys running, writing poetry, traveling, and photography
Mrs. Geffre teaches 7th grade humanities at FCA. In her 16 years of teaching, she has taught grades K through graduate level students but her passion lies in teaching middle school reading, writing, and history. When she isn’t teaching, she loves being outdoors with her family, traveling, learning languages, playing board games, and reading.
Mrs. Blair lives in Salem, Oregon and teaches 2nd and 3rd grade. In her 16 years in education, she's been an elementary teacher, a computer teacher and a technology coach. For the last seven years, Mrs. Blair lived and taught abroad in Indonesia and India. She had a wonderful experience but is happy to be home. She loves traveling, art, hiking, and hanging out with her husband and two young boys.
Mrs. Dunlap loves to be outside walking, hiking, or biking. Puzzles of any type get her excited, and reading nonfiction literature is her hobby. In the past eight years, she has taught various areas of Math for 7th through 12th graders and studied Math Education at Portland State University. She teaches 7th grade Math and Pre-algebra at FCA. Ms. Dunlap lives in Hillsboro, Oregon with her husband, two young kids, and border collie.
Mrs. Mills is originally from Georgia, and now lives in NE Portland with her husband, 3 sons, English Bulldog: Bowser, and cat: Skippy John Jones. She has more than 10 years of experience in the classroom with special education and regular education. Megan spends her time riding her bike around Portland with her 2 year old, coaching her 6 year old's soccer team, gardening, reading books with her book club, and trying to catch a yoga class or concert when she has time.
Mrs. Nordstrom lives in North Portland and teaches 6th grade Humanities and Homeroom. Prior to coming to FCA, she taught at several different types of schools. No matter the school setting, though, she always taught her favorite grade level: middle school! She loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and pets.
Ms. Jertberg lives in Newberg, Oregon and teaches Geography and World History. Her time away from teaching is usually spent reading novels, frequenting coffee shops, attending plays, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Dahl lives in Portland, Oregon and teaches English 10, Discovery Hour, and Sophomore Survey. This is her first year teaching at FCA, but her fifth year teaching at an online school. In her free time, Ms. Dahl loves playing games, reading books, and carving spoons. She also enjoys going on hikes with her corgi, Ron Swanson.
Joanne is the Business & Human Resources Manager at FCA. She loves to garden, hunt, fish, and play with her grandchildren. She has lived in Oregon for 40 years and loves the beauty of our home and state.
Mr. B is an avid gamer, cyclist, and cooker (not chef). Ask him what podcast or comic he liked lately. He is the Technology Manager and handles all that code and help tickets. Mr. B lives in SE Portland with his spouse, cat, and dog.
Beau lives in Portland, Oregon and is the principal and co-founder of Frontier Charter Academy. When he is not teaching he likes to read, write, and hangout with his family (a wife, three kids, and a poodle).
Katie is currently the Director of Student Services for Oregon Trail School District. She lives in Gresham OR with her husband, two children and a small zoo of animals.
