Club Spotlight: Debate Club

Students in our Debate Club for grades 6th-9th have been developing valuable communication and critical thinking skills while having fun along the way.

Throughout the year, students have participated in both formal and informal debates, researching topics, building arguments, and collaborating with teammates to present their ideas. Debate topics have ranged from artificial intelligence and electric vehicles to the age old question of which video game reigns supreme.

Debate Club provides a supportive environment where students learn to express their ideas clearly, engage in respectful discussions, and build confidence speaking in front of others. It also encourages students to think critically, consider different perspectives, and support their opinions with research and evidence.

We love seeing our students challenge themselves, think creatively, and grow as confident communicators while enjoying the learning process.
